Those Who sow Misery Reap Rage!!!!

Dear. Mr. Milloy

Less then a month has passed since you voted in favour to the austerity budget based on the recommendations of a bankster and already the effects of the budget can be felt in the working poor and marginalized communities. The deal your party cut with the NDP to pass this budget does nothing at all to help the people attacked by this budget since all revenue raised by this alledged tax on the rich (which most won pay) will only go back into the private pockets of those finacial institutes that created this economic crisis in the first place!!!!!

This morning while hanging out downtown one person was about to stab another person over a cup of coffee, this violence as well as misery is a direct result of the despair that your budget is creating. Without community start up more and more woman in abuse relationships are forced to stay with there abusers because they do not have the money to flee. This is a direct result of the budget that you passed. Suicide, a serious issue among poor people and marginalized communities is beeing seen as a legitmate way out for people backed in a corner. This is a direct result of the budget that you passed.

Yes you successfully ignored delegation after delegation that visited your office, you pretended that the occupations of your office did not happenned and now that the budget is passed you think that you can breathe a sigh of releif and get on with your buisness of implementing policy that directly costs the lives of people in this province. This is not going to happaneed, our struggle for decent work, and a liveable disability and welfare will only intensify.

You are the Minister of Social services and you have the power to stop these attacks on poor people, yet you choose to do nothing and pretend that we dont exist!!!!! Our existance will be forced upon you and we will not suffer in silence!!!!!We demand a 55% increase in OW and ODSP which with inflation will bring it up to what it was before the cuts implemented by mike harris, we demand decent housing and employment fit for human beings and we demand a rturn to both the special diets and community start up.

Your anti worker anti people policys of your government have sown misery and are destroying the lives of thousands of people in this province. Reap the rage of those whom you attack and marginalize as we intensify our protest movement and continue to resist your attacks on our community.

Expect to see us soon

Julian Ichim

The true test of a society is how they treat their citizens who are in need.

NO!! This is a result of unemployed bums that refuse to work and would rather live off the government. You really need to give your head a shake if you think you can blame this stupidity on a budget!!
Quit “hanging out” and get a job so you can buy your own coffee!

Doug: If you aren’t a Conservative you should be. If you’ve never had serious physical health issues you should have. If you’ve never had mental health issues that’s also a shame. If you’ve never had a company (your employer) go belly up on you then I wish it upon you. None of these afflictions would I ordinarily wish upon anyone but in your case it might actually open your mind and make you a better person. Personally I’ve been lucky having sufferred a couple of these afflictions and had help to get through them. When your turn comes and it will I hope someone whether government, relative or stranger gives you a hand. it will make you a better more compassionate humanbeing.

I’ve got no problem with people collecting off the government if they have an honest reason for doing so but it’s freeloaders like Julian and his type that make a career out of leeching from the taxpayers because they think we OWE them that I have no sympathy for!

That’s a pretty broad brush calling Julian “and his type” freeloaders. I think of them more as canaries in the coalmine. As they are treated by society, police and courts so will many other citizens be so treated. That easily could include you, your children and or other friends and relatives. As far as Julian and friends being freeloaders I don’t presume to either be a doctor or a judge. IF he’s reasonably healthy and IF he’s offerred a job yes he and anyone else in the same situation should support themselves. Lets be honest here though. I’ve been an activist and stuck my neck out but nowhere to the extent as Julian has. Nevertheless I’ve been blacklisted by employers locally not for my sins but for my beliefs and convictions. Doug even if you honestly disagree 100% with Julian’s ideas do you really think that there are any, much less many employers who would offer him a job? This is but one of the ways our society expresses their disagreemnet with people being activists. I don’t agree with everything Julian says but I grant him both the right to say it and the right to either make a living or if denied that by society the right to be supported by society.
