My Mother Who Was Passing By

17 Oct

This is a poem my mom wrote about her moms death. I recently re read it and though she did not write this about her death, i can definatly relate. i belive that it is a beutiful poem and anyone who has lost a close family member can appreciate it!!!!!

My Mother Who Was Passing by-Florica Batu Ichim

Like a sunny cloud

she came and

then away she went,

my mother

falling asleep at sunset.

In its shadow

there did remain

a field full of flowers

and a drizzle rain…

Behind her

children were mourning

and up were growing,

thinking

and thinking…

’’Sunny cloud,

when will you be back?’’

Asks the dust.

’’Mother,

are you still among the living?’’

from the wax, from the sun and the wind

drops of tears are pouring…
