Yesterdays function kicked ass!!!!

5 Dec

Yesterday we got together to listen to speakers engaged in the struggle against colonialism here and abroad. The event started with a special msg from Martin Rafferty who is a member of the 32CSM, then statements were read about the struggle of the Basque prisoners, as well as from a reporter of Two Row Times who was part of the anti Fracking protests at Elsipogtog and did on the ground reporting when the raid took place. Finally we had some comrades from the WCCC talking about the Mapucha struggle. Discussion then followed and a video was shown. Postcards were then signed and sent to the four warriors on remand, Irish POWS, and quite a few Basque prisoners including the Seville 6. Some funds were raised for POWS and all in all the event was a success.
