After that people spoke about there experience with poverty and the need to keep up the pressure. The issue of only being political during elections was discussed as well as the need to create our own alternative.

After speeches people began marching and as we marched some people we passed showed support for the march. The march ended at the local polling booth with speeches and fireworks stressing that voting was not enough and the need to oppose the austerity agenda by all means available to us. Chickens coming home to roost, on todays shooting in the parliment

23 Oct

Chickens coming home to roost never made me sad, rather they made me glad-Malcolm X

turning on the television today one sees the crocodile tears of newscasters as commentators on social media denouncing the so called savage violence of today’s shooting in parliament that took the life of a solider. The media reporting this as well as social commentary on facebook etc. speaks of this event as if it is something that happened in a vacuum perpetrated by people or peoples unknown for the simple sake of barbarity. This event is taken outside of historical context for the purpose of maintaining the illusion that the kkkanadian state, like other imperialist and colonialist state, is a victim of violence rather then perpetrator and creator of violence.

The reality of the situation is quite different, kkkanada as a state was founded on the genocide of indigenous peoples, a genocide that still is happening today as the hereditary right to self determination is met with physical force and bullets and indigenous peoples just aspirations of freedom are not just ignored but violently crushed like at Oka Gustafsonlake, Ipperwash and Elsipogtog. The KKKanadian state is a racist state where police officers engage in community policing by shooting members of the community such as but not including the recent murder of Sammi Yatin (please see http://toronto.mediacoop.ca/blog/ajamu-nangwaya/18378 for a more complete list) and silence any dissent with the stick and carrot approach, funding to those that cooperate with TAVIS/PAVIS, while intimidation and silencing those who speak out against this (http://basicsnews.ca/2012/07/jane-finch-organization-open-letter-against-toronto-police-intimidation-of-local-activist-community-leader-sabrina-butterfly-gopaul/) and internationally the kkkanadian state is carrying out wars of aggression and genocide.

As a part of the so called coalition of the willing the KKKanadian state has invaded Afghanistan carrying out a evil crusade against the muslim world and has aided its partners in the anglo imperialist alliance in overthrowing the governments of Iraq and Libya and promoting war in Syria with a focus on aiding forces of imperialism against Iran. In Syria it was the kkkanadians who financed and aided the anti Assad forces with an aim to weaken the nationalist government and strengthen Israel while surrounding Russia and China with military bases. This move against Syria also aims to destabilize southern Lebanon and Hezbollah effectively wiping out any opposition to the Zionist Imperialist agenda for that area. These anti Assad forces armed by kkkanadian state now make up what is known as ISIS, ISIL or IS, the group that kkkanada is now claiming to go to war with and it is in this context of the kkkanadian state creating terror groups that one must view what happened today. Like the Mujaheddin armed and trained by the U$ to overthrow the socialist government of Afghanistan to the anti Shi’ite extremists that overthrew Qaddafi and now are fighting in Syria it is clear that it is the imperialists like kkkanada that create these monsters yet are shocked when they turn on their masters

It is in this context that one must view the shooting that happened today, a context of a settler nation built on violence and blood having the monster that they have created coming back to attack them then playing the victim. As such I am neither shocked nor appalled when this violence made for export comes back on its maker but rather am shocked at the silence for all the real victims of kkkanadian imperialism, and while the media tells us to cry for the life of a soldier of imperialism, it is silent about all the other loss of life caused by the kkkanadian state further entrenching their hierarchy of death.

Speech to be given at the Raise the Rates March

16 Oct

Comrades and Friends
Today we are gathering to take a stand against the attack on poor people perpetrated by the liberal government. This attack, the cuts to community start up, cutting special diets for the most vulnerable, freezing welfare and ODSP so that people can only pay rent and have nothing to live on for the rest of the month is not simply a budgetary issue but rather an attack on our right to exist. As the out of the cold program is closing and the possibility of people freezing to death this winter is a reality, these cuts intensify the attacks on people livelihoods and lives. The reality of the situation is that the state does not care if we live or die and in the wake of the death of Jeff Young on October 2nd as a result of lack of assistance to the most vulnerable it is clear to us that the state expects to silently do nothing as the drug scourge takes life after life. The level of violence from the state and anti social elements that prey and profit from our misery, landlords, drug dealers and extortionists both legal and illegal is so intense that people living under occupation are shocked at this and find it unbelievable.

Canada a country that is seen by many as a the greatest place to live is cutting money for people to move forcing wimmin to live in abusive situations and creating a climate so hostile that woman we know are forced into sex work selling there bodies the only thing that they have and are at the mercy of pimps and other peaces of shit. These cuts also create the climate where youth are forced to live with people who exploit them many seeing no way out other then drugs to bludgeon there conscious or suicide to end this miserable existence.

While we live in this hell living day to day these politicians placate us with words slogans and other such platitudes while they go home to there nice homes and only here about us on the 11 o clock news. Wynne dares call herself the social justice premier while people are drop-in like flies and foodbank use is higher then the Mike Harris days.

Given this situation it is clear to us that we have no choice but to resist. It is clear that all the politicians donțt care about us smoking us while we are in office then coming and promising us everything whenever election time roles around. Our solution lies in deepening the contradictions and intensifying our resistance.

We stand here today not to beg for more crumbs off the table but demand what is ours by virtue of being human, food clothing shelter and the right to live. We do not beg that the government sympathize with our plight, for as we all know psychopaths cant sympathize, rather we are here to demand our rights that we have by virtue of being human, we have a right to a living wage, we have a right to food we have a right not to be forced in the streets at the mercy of psychopaths who only differ from politicians by being on the so called right side of the law. We are here to say that we will not be silent and we will not go away.

As we plan to achieve the impossible we need to look back at our history here in kitchener to learn that it can be done. It was us who chased out the Nazis and there crack trade in the period from 1998-2002, it was us that saved the mayfair hotel, it was us who fought and won thousands of units of affordable housing not by begging but by fighting. The list goes on and on.

In the same manner we will intensify our peoples programs to solve the problems that the state cares nothing about, but we will also intensify our resistance on the street. If the Liberals think that by changing there face and replacing the minister of misery with some other face they have placated us they are wrong!!!!!!!!We will fight for what is ours and we will win!!!!!

Victory belongs to the people!!!
