Conservative office taken over in protest of Bill C 51

5 Jun

Today protesters took over the office of Stephen Woodworth a conservative member of parliament to protest Bill C 51 which Woodworths Party created and that he voted for. Protesters held the office until closing time making sure that business as usual could not go on. It is quite clear that the conservative government is aiming to push this bill through despite widespread opposition from people which makes it more important then ever for people to organize in their community and take the necessary steps to oppose this and continue opposing this bill even if it becomes law. Upon leaving his office protesters made it quite clear that this action is not a one time thing and that the struggle to oppose this bill which aims to criminalize people and deny their right to conscience will only intensify.
