Tent City Takes Over Mayors Office and gets results

7 Oct

Today a contingent of comrades from Tent City took over the mayors office with a list of demands and concerns that affected people at tent city and the broader homeless community. Shortly after security arrived and it was made quite clear that we would not leave till we meet with someone about these concerns. After awhile the Mayor agreed to meet with us and after a bit of discussion it was agreed that the mayor would assist us in housing people who need housing and help cut through all the crap that people face looking through housing. Given that this seemed like a reasonable thing that benefits all sides the occupation ended as did the discussion. Now we will start trying to find housing for everyone at tent city so that people can have homes while maintaining our structure organization and capacity to mobilize and continue our struggle through targeting other levels of government until they act reasonable and recognize the necessity and urgency for the right to housing. With the cold coming and the out of the cold shelters closing the necessity for intensifying this struggle is clearly a life anddeath struggle and will be treated as such.

If all you able bodied lazy bums would get jobs the taxpayers wouldn’t have to pay to support you.

Yeah but Doug, Where are all these Jobs? i mean it’s one thing to look at unemployment rates which is 7.4% in Kitchener to employment rate which is 65% in Guelph the employment rate is 85.5%

Also your right the taxpayer wouldn’t have to support them, but you wouldn’t get any money back from it because politicians would most likely vote themselves a pay raise like the 33% they voted themselves in fact ever single back benching MP makes what 20 lazy bums make in one year at tax payers expense and exactly what does that job entail? traveling around (at taxpayers expense) and haggling over what laws to make, you know in the beginning politics was not a paid position, now it can be a career choice arguing over what laws to enforce and how to spend your money. Ironic isn’t it? someone with no employment can tell you how to spend your money and get paid for it (even if they over spend putting you in debt) but i’ll assume that since your small simpleton mind can’t comprehend that you’ll attack the only people you can….the impoverished

If all you senior citizens with time on your hands would get out and volunteer you could pressure governments into creating more jobs for everyone including families and individuals.

News Flash!!! Governments don’t create jobs…..never have and never will.

News Flash Doug !!! … Not everyone wants to be a “slave” or “voluntary slave” to the corporation of Canada and it’s subsidiaries. Think you better check what taxes actually pay for and how government and Canada Revenue (re-venue) distributes that money.

i don’t care what government told you or you learned via their schools and propaganda but it was definitely a bunch of lies .. i gather this by your own words.

the truth is = Money flows uphill from workers to overlords / lords / land lords / lords of England and the queen.

for a start, watch and learn = am i free in a so called democracy = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZfvfVbl6A4

BTW; the REAL Definition of GOVERNMENT: Derived from the Latin verb Guverno, Guvernare meaning “To Control” and The Latin noun Mens, Mentis meaning “Mind” = to Control The Mind of those who are too lazy to check for themselves 🙂

Hhhhm .. with all due respect .. how could i when i didn’t get your number? .. just to be clear for everyone who reads this. Thnx for the hint though 😉 i will be exercising it soon.
For everyone => Canada is a signatory to ICCPR International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, UDHR Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ICESCR International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and others … therefore Canada and all it’s tentacles are “obligated” to provide such in their Statutory Law. What Canada does is hide this information in their wording of Canadian Constitution [supreme law of Canada] and rest of their words. They are sitting of 100’s of Trillions of dollars …that’s with a big “T” PPL . Some of that is in case men and women exercise their rights … so no-one should be out on the street, poor, hungry, in shabby clothing or any low/er enlightenment. There should be no-one on welfare unless you were a government employee. And this doesn’t even touch on Original Rights of man .. and of coarse woman and child.
Anyone wants to start a study group to learn your/our actual rights .. i’m game.
