NDP candidate wins by election in 22 year conservative riding, blocking Liberal Majority

The most recent election results in the key Kitchener Waterloo By election show that Catherine Fife, The social democratic candidate has won in a riding that has been Conservative for the last 22 years. This is evidence that the working class and those disillusioned with the political process have become so sick of the anti social offensive and austerity program forced down our throat that they held there nose and vote for the only candidate that could block the Lieberal majority that the Provincial Lieberal government has been seeking.

Now with these election results, the electorate machinery is pushing for working class people to go back to there normal lives, give up there politics and trust the political process that has been screwing us over again and again and again.

We must reject this pressure to demobalize and instead push forward to fight for the working class here to develop there own politics and set there own agenda. To long have we allowed this accomadated elite to rob us of our right to discuss the problems that we face and set our own agenda. This election has not solved the problems that we are facing and as long as the workibg class is cutt off from political power to set the agenda our strugglle must continue.
