Its not just Ford the whole system is rotten!!!!

31 Oct

Living in a state plagued with corruption, greed, nepotism and general fuckery you kinda became desensitized to how fucked up your environment is
and sometimes it takes an outsider to point out how fucked up shit really is. During one of international visits i chatted with a friend who does not live in this state about the issue of Rob Ford, and he was truly shocked
at how fucked up the KKKanadian state is. His surprise at the true “state of the nation” kind of shocked me and realised that what we see as normal is actually and truly really fucked up!!!

Over the last little bit, the Media has been bombarding us with story’s of corruption in the senate,Harper ignoring the supreme court and other really screwed up things with the purpose of normalizing the corruption and criminality of the KKKanadian state.
Rob Ford and his saga as portrayed in the Media created the atmosphere of acceptance of the violation of the most basic norms, by portraying him as a bumbling idiot, making us wonder what is he up to next, or how is he going to get out of this one.
By doing this the reality that the Mayor of Toronto was directly or indirectly involved with organized crime, drug use and dealing extortion and possibly even a murder.

This was a deliberate act to shock and awe us in submission creating an atmosphere where the unacceptable becomes the norm. Now that the state apparatus no longer finds him useful they are throwing him under the bus to make us believe that no one is above justice and accept the system that empowered this monster in the first place.

Like other right wingers, Fords role in the big scheme of things was that of a wrecker and like Mike Harris or George W. Bush his role is to create an ultra right state breaking all norms, paving the way for the more “liberal” alternative who will codify this lawlessness and solidify the anti social offensive launched by these people. This “Liberal” alternative will carry on
with solidifying and consolidating what their predessor has done, as well as give people the illusion of change by using the carrot instead of the stick but leaving the institutions of the stick intact and consolidated.

While everyone is full of glee that finally we can say the emperor has no close, the truth that he will march on anyways, and we are powerless to stop him will be concealed. As we are now being told that things will change with whatever sort of liberal alternative is presented to us, the real issue, that of the power to participate in politics and set our own agenda will not be any closer.
And while one is distracted by the whole Rob Ford scandal, the instituions that empowered him and let him carry on like a demi god will carry implementing their agenda.

So let us not be disarmed and confused, the issue is not Rob Ford, it’s the whole system and until we create the conditions to empower the peoples to set their own agenda we are still fucked!!!

Poppies Imperialism and Colonialism

31 Oct

I remember when the first gulf war started, and the teacher was trying to incite us, as settlers to get behind the colonialist project. At that time i wasnt really that articulate (some may say im still not…lol) but I knew it was wrong and got in a huge fight with the teacher and the rest of the class trying to argue why the war was not about freedom and democracy and didnt have anything to do with the people of Iraq, but rather had to do with what the Anglo imperialist alliance consolidating power. After about 30 minutes seeing that i was getting nowhere, I left the room crying, but knowing I was right. For a week after I had detention and every day the teacher would sit down and try to explain to me why this war was just, and me as a kid would wonder why my teacher spent so much time trying to convince me and get
me to agree with this. This was one of them many eye opening experiences in my life that has shaped my politics today.

The propaganda directed at settlers, who benefit from the theft and plunder of nations whose lands we live on and nations whose resources we plunder, to get behind the colonialist project is both insidious and downright criminal. By throwing bigger scraps from their table to the settler nation, to assist them to turn a blind eye to what is going on around them,to brainwashing them through ritual and creating a siege mentality where the settler is portrayed as the one under attack from those that they subjugate the ruling circle creates a class that they can incite through sectarian hatred to do there dirty work and send there daughters and sons off to die, only to discard them when they are no longer useful. The perfect example of this is remembrance day, when we are all suppose to forget rational discourse, get sentimental and in the name of freedom and no more war create a enforce the hierarchy of “glorious dead”
(those whose died to protect settlers from the evil colonized people) and undeserving dead aka those who fought resisting colonization in defense of there right to be.

In the name of never forgetting the evils of war we are told to “support our troops” and participate in some sacred ceremony that sanctifys and immortalise the colonialist project of continued subjugation through economic military and cultural war.
By pushing a blind patriotism, and playing on peoples sentiments, this ritual and its symbol the poppy, diverts attention from the real people who have butchered generations in wars for profit and blames the true victim of colonization, the colonized for the crimes of the ruling class. By saying that “the troops” died to defend “freedom and democracy” anyone who wants to examine what was behind all these wars is automatically demonized and there views discarded and the real questions , which are what are the aims and purpose of war here and abroad, who do the troops serve and what do they actually do, and where does the true threat to freedom lie are silenced.

Many people call themselves progressive and socialist and all other sorts of names, but the true test is when issues of Colonization such as Native sovereignty and “remembrance day” where do they stand? Do they stand behind the ruling circles to defend there privilege and crumbs or do they stand with the people whose blood pays for their privledge? Do they stand with the troops who are carrying out atrocities as we speak, or do they stand with those who are fighting for there right to exist.

Personally this year when people are participating in these state-run rituals aimed at inciting the settlers to glorify conquest I will refuse to participate, and if this makes me unpopular I really dont care because what is right is right even if only a few people believe it.

Stop The JNF, Stop Harper

30 Oct

Sunday, December 1, 2013 4:00pm, Olympic Patk Toronto

STEPHEN HARPER IS COMING TO TORONTO!

Why: The Jewish National Fund (JNF), Toronto, is “paying tribute” to Harper at their annual “Negev Gala.”

RESIST settler colonialism from Turtle Island to Palestine.

RESIST environmental racism from the Tar Sands in Alberta to the uprooting of trees all over Palestine, to the theft of water and extraction of resources all over the world.

RESIST militarization.

PROTEST racism, apartheid, poverty, police violence, deportations and the detention of immigrants and migrant workers, the criminalization of people with AIDS, the over 600 missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, violent round ups and false imprisonment of Indigenous peoples and People of Colour, sexism and violence against women, homo- and transphobia, targeting for bullying, and the abuse and neglect of all marginalized peoples including children.

SUPPORT Indigenous peoples, Bedouin and Palestinian peoples, the homeless and the stateless, refugees, immigrants, and migrant workers everywhere.

STOP HARPER! STOP THE JNF!

Organized by Stop the JNF (Canada), Independent Jewish Voices (Canada), others in the Palestine Solidarity Movement, and allies.

For more information, email canada@stopthejnf.org or ijv-toronto@ijvcanada.org

WHY WE NEED TO STOP HARPER:

Stephen Harper has led successive governments that put profits and ideology above the environment, indigenous sovereignty, immigrant and migrant workers’ rights, has cut social assistance programs, slashed healthcare for refugees, diminished funding to the arts, scaled back women’s rights, shut down research programs, and the list goes on. The Harper government has stripped certain organizations of their charitable status, such as Physicians for Global Survival and the International Relief Fund for the Afflicted and Needy, Canada (IRFAN, Canada). And yet the Jewish National Fund (JNF) has charitable status in Canada.

What is the JNF?

Founded in 1901 at the fifth World Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, the JNF is a quasi-governmental organization. Its primary function then as now is to acquire and secure land for use by Jews only, in Palestine and what is now Israel. The JNF is not only implicated in al-Nakba (the Catastrophe) of 1948, but is a vital part of the ongoing ethnic cleansing and colonisation of historic Palestine. Painting itself as “green,” the JNF perpetrates environmental racism and degradation, and land theft.

Currently, the JNF is actively involved in the colonisation of the Naqab (Negev). Between 30,000 and 70,000 indigenous Arab Bedouin, who are citizens of Israel, will be forcibly removed from their ancestral lands and transferred into “townships.” Up to 35 Bedouin villages will be destroyed. This will be the largest mass expulsion of Palestinians since 1967. Suhad Bishara of Adalah, the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, sees this as a “second Nakba.”

War Criminals Not Welcome Here – Protest Dick Cheney in Toronto, October 31st

28 Oct

Last year Cheney cancelled his visit because he said KKKanada was not safe for him…….this year lets show him he was right!!!!

http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/03/12/dick-cheney-cancels-toronto-trip-says-canada-is-too-dangerous/

Thursday October 31 11:00am Metro Toronto Convention centre – 255 Front St W Toronto

Former US vice president Dick Cheney is coming to Toronto. He is scheduled to give the keynote address to the International Economic Forum of the Americas on Halloween at 12 noon at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The Canadian Peace Alliance and the Toronto Coalition to Stop the War are organizing a rally at 11 am on the same day to to let him know that we don’t want war criminals in our city.

Cheney is best known as the war criminal who pushed for the war on Iraq and advocated and authorized the torture of detainees at Guantanamo bay Cuba.

“I was a big supporter of waterboarding, I signed off on it”
Dick Cheney in 2010

According to Canadian and International law, anyone who supports torture is guilty of a criminal offence. In fact, Cheney has already been convicted of war crimes by a tribunal investigating the torture of detainees in Guantanamo bay.

The government of Canada, which has no qualms about denying entry to anti-war activists and is still trying to deport war resisters that refused to follow Cheney’s illegal and immoral orders, should ban this war criminal from entering Canada.

Join us and give this war criminal the welcome he deserves.

MOHAWK NATION AT KAHNAWÀ:KE STAND IN SUPPORT OF MI’KMAQ PROTEST AGAINST HYDRO-FRACKING

21 Oct

Kahnawake Mohawk Territory – Kenténha (October) 17, 2013

The Mohawk Nation at Kahnawà:ke – People of the Longhouse – is horrified by the recent RCMP attack of indigenous protesters at the Mi’kmaq Nation at Elsipogtog near Rexton, New Brunswick. The protestors have been barricading Route 134 since September 30, to prevent the SWN Resources Canada from conducting exploratory research for potential shale hydrofracking in that area.

Since its introduction into our traditional territory, the Haudenosaunee Six Nations Confederacy has been opposed to hydrofracking. A statement issued by the Haudenosaunee Grand Council states:

“We have seen first-hand the impacts of hydrofracking; the vast industrialization of the landscape, the pollution of the air from hundreds of trucks, propane stripping stations, gas flares, and compression stations; the fragmentation of habitat and landscape by the incursions of roads and drill pads; the ruining of streams and drinking wells from drilling-related contamination; and most heartbreakingly, the permanent disruption of peoples homes, lives and communities. Even when things are done “right”, the impacts are devastating.”

The UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples established human rights standards that directly relate to this matter. They include:

Article 19, States shall consult and cooperate in good faith with the indigenous peoples concerned through their own representative institutions in order to obtain their free, prior and informed consent before adopting and implementing legislative or administrative measures that may affect them.

Article 29, This article contains three important provisions relating to the rights to the conservation and protection of the environment of the lands, territories and resources of indigenous peoples.

Article 37, Indigenous peoples have the right to the recognition, observance and enforcement of treaties, agreements and constructive arrangement concluded with States and their successors.

The Mohawk Nation at Kahnawà:ke understands that if the Mi’kmaq Nation at Elsipogtog did not take action against SWN Resources Canada, their exploration for shale gas would no doubt prove disastrous to the Mi’kmaq and the neighboring Canadian municipalities. (See reverse for details).

The Mohawk Nation at Kahnawà:ke stands in support of the Mi’kmaq people of Elsipogtog and are prepared to offer whatever assistance they require.

In peace and friendship,

Atsenhaién:ton Kenneth Deer

Statement on Provocateurs, Informants, and the conflict in New Brunswick Zig Zag, Warrior Publications

Statement on Provocateurs, Informants, and the conflict in New Brunswick
Zig Zag, Warrior Publications

www.http://warriorpublications.wordpress.com/

In the aftermath of the RCMP raid on the anti-fracking blockade in New Brunswick, in Mi’kmaq territory, there has emerged a conspiracy theory that the six police vehicles set on fire were the act of police informants acting as agents provocateurs.

In particular, one individual has been identified and publicly labelled a police informant: Harrison Friesen. It has been implied that he, along with one or two others, were responsible for several Molotov cocktails thrown at police lines and the torching of the police vehicles.

We saw similar theories promoted following the Toronto G20 protests in 2010, during which four cop cars were burned in the downtown streets. Conspiracy theorists immediately claimed that the police set their own cars on fire to justify their massive police operation and violent repression of protesters.

Not a single piece of evidence has ever emerged to justify these theories about the G20 protests, and they remain nothing more than speculation.

Harrison Friesen first came to prominence in 2010 as the leader of Red Power United (RPU). At that time, he released a public statement against the arson of a Royal Bank of Canada branch in Ottawa. I sent his group an email stating that I disagreed strongly with his denunciation of the attack.

Just prior to the Toronto G20, Harrison set up a meeting with agents of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), who had requested an interview with him (a common practise of CSIS). Unknown to CSIS, Harrison had also contacted reporters from the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), who secretly filmed the meeting.

Aftermath of May 18, 2010 arson of RBC branch in Ottawa.
Aftermath of May 18, 2010 arson of RBC branch in Ottawa.
During the APTN broadcast, my email was flashed across the screen. The implication was that I was involved in the RBC attack. The email was supplied to APTN by Harrison.

A dirty trick, approaching the level of informant? Yes. But it does not prove that Harrison is one, only that he is an opportunist. Over the last three years, more people have come forward with allegations against Harrison, most of which implicate him as a movement hustler and abusive towards women.

In fact, despite these new allegations against him, including a widely circulating meme accusing him of being both a police and CIA informant (!), there is no evidence that Harrison is, in fact, an informant. It’s all speculation.

To back up the claim that police would participate in burning their own vehicles (again, to justify their repressive actions), conspiracy theorists have found an actual example of the RCMP blowing up an “oil installation.”

On October 15, 1999, the RCMP blew up an unused shed belonging to the oil corporation AEC, in northern Alberta. The bombing had no effect on oil production and was intended to bolster the credibility of an informant: Robert Wraight, aka Agent K4209.

Four RCMP vehicles burned in New Brunswick on Oct 17, 2013.
Four RCMP vehicles burned in New Brunswick on Oct 17, 2013.
The bombing was part of Operation Kabriole, the RCMP’s effort to entrap Wiebo Ludwig. Wiebo and his family had been a thorn in the side of the oil industry due to their determined opposition. The police worked closely with oil corporations, including AEC, to neutralize the Ludwigs, who were suspected of carrying out a campaign of sabotage against the industry.

As part of the resistance against oil companies, roads had been blocked, pipelines drilled with holes, and facilities damaged. None of these scores of sabotage attacks were reported in the media, although they are documented in the book Saboteurs, written by Andrew Nikifouk and published in 2002. It should be noted that these low-level attacks actually impacted industry, while the RCMP’s bombing did not.

According to those re-posting this old bit of news, if the RCMP would blow up an “oil installation” in northern Alberta, what’s to stop them from torching their own vehicles in New Brunswick?

The question is: for what purpose? In the case of the Alberta bombing, it was part of an extensive effort to insert an informant into the Ludwig family circle. In New Brunswick, we are told, it was to justify the acts of repression carried out by the RCMP. But those acts of repression were already in motion, long before the police cars were set on fire.

In their own statements, the RCMP justify their raid on the basis of alleged threats made to SWN employees, the presence of firearms, and general concerns for public safety.

If police are going to go through the efforts of staging an attack on their own resources, it is only logical they would do this prior to a raid thereby justifying the raid itself. It is highly unlikely they would instruct an informant to do so after the raid has begun, a raid already justified by “public safety” concerns, etc.

In fact, the burning of the six police vehicles appears to be a response to the raid. But there are those who seek to dampen the fighting spirit of our warriors by implying that any act of militant resistance is a police conspiracy. Some of these people are pacifists, ideologically committed to nonviolent acts, while some are conspiracy theorists who see the hand of the “Illuminati” behind any acts of resistance.

Two police vehicles torched, Oct 17, 2013.
Two police vehicles torched, Oct 17, 2013.
This is what one radical journalist, an eyewitness present during the conflict on Oct 17, stated about the burned cop cars and the theories of who burned them:

“To all the people spreading misinfo about provocateurs at Elsipogtog, listen up. RCMP cars were not burned by provocateurs. It was an expression of rage by an angry crowd sick of being trampled by the government. People put their cameras away as the cars were being lit, as to not incriminate comrades and cheered every time one went up in flames. Hundreds of people witnessed this, so drop all the propaganda and snitch jacketing and raise your glass to all the brave peeps who risked life and limb to protect your fuckin water.” – The Stimulator, Oct 18, 2013

When we consider the 1999 RCMP bombing of an unused shed in northern Alberta, we should not forget that there were scores of sabotage attacks carried out against the oil industry prior to this. Were these all the result of police conspiracies? Highly unlikely. It was due to their inability to stop these attacks that police resorted to the bombing in order to insert their informant.

In the past, it was common sense that you did not label a person a police informant without substantial evidence. Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence. Informants and police infiltrators have been exposed in the past based on real evidence, through court transcripts or intercepted communications with their handlers, for example.

At this point, Harrison is being made a scapegoat by those pacifists and conspiracy theorists who are either opposed to militant resistance on principle, or who see a government conspiracy behind any spectacular event.

So far, we have no evidence that Harrison Friesen is an informant or that any agents provocateurs set the cop cars on fire in New Brunswick. And until such evidence is produced, those circulating unsubstantiated claims should cease doing so.

Uncritical support for Mi’kmaq-led blockade under attack.

17 Oct

Early this morning the RCMP lead a paramilitary assault on the Mi’kmaq-led blockade in so called New Brunswick. As we speak people are defending their land from the KKKanadian state, whose interests lies in supporting those corporations pushing Fracking and plunder of indigenous land. As settlers who benefit from the colonialist institutions it is our duty to unconditionally support those under attack by the state for defending their hereditary rights and not buy into the lies spread by the state that the Mi’kmaq nation are criminals or trouble makers. It is the Colonialist institutions that are the criminals assaulting and shooting at people defending their hereditary rights. We as settlers have no right to preach to those who are colonized and the victims of state violence how to behave, nor is it our place to interfere in the  affairs of other nations and play the role of the great colonialist saviour. Our role is to uncritically support those under attack, in word, as well as deed.

Housing For The people Not Condo’s For The Rich!!!Report on todays occupation!!!

16 Oct

Today a group of people decided to continue the resistance to the attack on poor people in Downtown Kitchener by taking over the model Condo in the Core. This Model Condo, and office of developers (City Centre condominiums) is place where the gentrifiers show off and try to sell their idea of what Downtown should look like. This vision, of the new core excludes the people who are currently living in the core and continuing the process of social cleansing. Today’s disruption and occupation is our answer to this process.

Phone Jam The British Consulate and Demand Justice for The Craigavon Two.

16 Oct

Friday Oct. 18th 8:30 am to Five PM (416) 593-1290

False Evidence, PSNI witness Tampering, planting evidence in a cell, and general miscariage of justice have plagued the case of the Craigavon Two from the start. To those watching the appeal it is obvious that the reasons for the illegal detention of JP Wooton and Brendan Mc Conniville has nothing to do with the murder of officer Carrol, but rather, like the cases of the Gilford four and Brimingham Six is a police set up. Despite the sucess of there counsel during the appeal process, it may take up to one more year for a desision to be made. This is what the British injustice system is truely about, internment by remand, false arrest and illegal kidnapping. This friday demand that they be set free now, take five minutes of your time and call the British Consulate and demand justice for the wrongfully imprisoned Craigavon Two.
